About Joanne
Joanne Faris graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree. She studied voice with Dr. Ernesto Vinci and Helen Simmie, and piano with Antonin Kubalek. Through the years she has taught many students, preparing them for Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Examinations, the St. Thomas Rotary Festival, and university music studies.
Joanne is an active teaching member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association (ORMTA) and has been a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) for a number of years. She has been awarded the Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced Specialist certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) in Piano, Voice, and Theory. Joanne is also a gold certified Piano Maestro teacher and has taken training to teach the Accelerated Piano Lab.
